The book Bishop refers to, in this letter, is Theory of Flight, that Rukeyser had just published (see record [:485;485:] ). Some of the poems collected in that volume had already appeared in New Masses (see record [:468;468:] ), Partisan Review, Con Spirito, Vassar Review, Housatonic (see record [:466;466:] ), Poetry, Westminster Review, etc.
